Taste of Madison

Held each year over Labor Day weekend, Taste of Madison showcases more than 75 local restaurants, 20 beverage stands and three entertainment stages. The participating restaurants, including yours truly, Chocolate Shoppe Ice Cream, serve a vast variety of unique and traditional dishes to the estimated 175,000 attendees over the two-day period. Admission to the event – which includes hours of live entertainment – is free and open to the public, and all treats are reasonally priced at $1-$4 a piece. Proceeds from this community event benefits United Cerebral Palsy of Dane County.
